small does matter!!
« on: April 12, 2017, 03:37:59 pm »

was wondering how much filament it takes for a gyroman , turns out not that much printed most parts  60 mm/s on an hyper cube.

when I first started out  in 3DP a wise friend mentioned when ever doing  a project with multiple parts start with the smallest peice in the collection.
its will always be the small parts that are most often troublesome for beginners.

think I was down to 8 mm/s for those two pieces.

Wow great prints jinx! how did you get different colors(orange and then black) in the same print? Do you have a dual head printer? Be sure to post a video of your gyroman walking!

Also how was your experience getting all the parts you needed? i found it took me quite awhile and I ended up with a lot of extra stuff I didn't need which i why i thought selling kits might help people out.

nothing elaborate as dual head, using marlin "filament change" nice feature  that has improved a lot since the early days, just be sure  make the change  while doing infill and all be good.
